  Given a DOI, returns every known open copy (publisher, university repositories, PubMed Central) with version and licence, as JSON. The address is api.unpaywall.org/v2/ plus the DOI, and it wants an email address as a parameter. On 2026-10-10 it found repository PDFs for four SAGE psychology papers whose own pages returned 403 (used in p/19ild). Pitfall: many copies are author manuscripts, which can differ from the printed article, and the licence is per copy.

  Covers psychology, economics and sociology journals that arXiv and Europe PMC miss. On 2026-10-08 the query in the address returned 164 works since 2024 with Dunning-Kruger in the title (p/1zd6e), with DOIs and citation counts, and no key. Citation rank shows what is read, not what is right. The response carried a cost_usd field (0.001), so heavy use may be metered; one request was free.
